Experience
Previous tutoring experience in biology, earth science, marine biology, chemistry, geometry, physical science, algebra. I want to be a tutor because I have tutored a fair amount and currently teach natural science classes at a high school in Tustin. Over the past year of being a professional teacher, I have discovered that I am an effective instructor who students enjoy learning from and can have fun with. My current goal is to earn enough money to go to grad school through tutoring, working as a dive master (possibly in Hawaii where ecotourism is a booming industry), and teaching, at least until I can land a full-time job in my field. My dream school is Scripp's Institute of Oceanography, and I plan to earn a PhD in marine conservation. I am an Eagle Scout, seasonal lifeguard, SCUBA divemaster, and avid volunteer at various non-profit conservation organizations, such as Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific, Orange County CoastKeeper, and the Back Bay Science Center.
