Previous Tutoring Experience I have 2 years of experience working as a behavioral therapist with children who have special needs. During one year of that time I worked in a special needs school as a tutor for a 2nd grade student. I taught her the required curriculum for that school year and prepared her for the standardized tests. Why I want to be a tutor? I enjoy being a tutor because I like helping children and adults feel comfortable and confident about the subjects they are learning. Once a student has conquered a difficult subject it gives them more confidence when approaching the next subject. I enjoy going through this process with my students and encouraging them to reach their goals.

Hobbies
Hobbies and Interests I enjoy creating art and crafts in my free time. I am currently learning how to paint with watercolors. I love to sew, make art journals using mixed media, draw, paint, and sculpt with clay. I also love animals. I have two dogs. An English Bulldog and a tiny Poodle. I enjoy spending time with them. I grew up on a ranch with horses, ducks, chickens, turkeys, cats, and dogs. I have a lot of knowledge about caring for animals and pets. I also worked for SeaWorld for a couple of years and I have a lot of knowledge about animals that live in the sea. If your son or daughter is interested in learning about animals or making art and crafts these are subjects that I'm very interested in teaching and are a lot of fun. I think they are great subjects to use as a reward after completing work on a more difficult subject.
